Snow Report 01/08/2026
Current Conditions by Area:
Jubilee 64 Road: Good snow coverage as you head toward higher elevations.
Baldy Viewpoint: Bare ground at the viewpoint and on the backside trail.
Morning Creek Sno-Park: I groomed from Morning Creek Sno-Park and back, and also made a trip to Baldy and back. While grooming toward the Sno-Park, snow was pushed across a small drainage, which unfortunately turned into a large slushy area. Please use caution.
Ten Eyke Meadow & Spout Springs: Both areas currently have significant water and slush. These areas will not be groomed until they freeze and water flow stops.
Spout Swamp: Once this area freezes up, I’ll be able to head that direction, but there is no timeline yet.
Access & Maintenance Notes:
The gate above Woodland Sno-Park and the gate below Road 3719 are now open.
There are still trees down across the trail above Woodland Sno-Park and farther beyond.
A big thank-you to the Forest Service and ODOT for removing the large tree that was leaning over the trail near the highway and hung up in other trees near Woodland.
Weather Outlook:
Unfortunately, the forecast starting Sunday is not favorable. Warm temperatures are expected, with rain on Monday followed by more warm sunshine throughout next week — not what we need for improving conditions.
